marKeith had a BROWNIE HAWKEYE when he was just a kid. he use the family bathroom to develop his film an make prints. He earned his Boy Scout merit badge in photography in his middle school. Recently he was talking about this early camera he had used and they found one on the w3g. it was even in the original box..
He even took this camera to college with him. it traveled to Yellow Stone National Park with him where he took shots of its grander. We are not sure of where these images are today.
His photography equipment did not advance until 1969 when he got a aminolta SLR 101. his tools soon expanded to include lens from a fish-eye to telephoto and zoom lenses. Soon it was necessary to get a film enlarger and all the equipment to develop and print hundreds;eds of 8X10 and 11X14 inch prints
His partner at the time encouraged him to engage in the RAGS MAGAZINE PROJECT. This was the start of his venture into photo journalism.
in the late 1980's he ventured into the digital world with the acquisition of the first Kodak Digital Camera. That camera came at a cost of $$1.000.00I cannot believe that would be over $8.000
00 in today's dollars.
the recording media including film and digital memory cards wnever stopped him from taking multiple shots of eachh subject of interest. These were tools to achieve the final print and multiple shots were a regular requirement for him. He still retains his original 35mm film negatives and is still looking for a suitable scanner to digitize these negatives and to produce black and white images for the web.
Visit the glory of the 1900's when all was love and peace in New York City. These children of the flower age were developing a style of their own resurrecting pieces of clothing from their parents closets. if you had a piece of retro -clohing it was no less valuable if it had been acquired at a thrift store. in fact, this added to its value/. The RAGS MAGAZINE PROJEDT was for an anti-fashion - fashion magazine.
